DIRECTING WISH LIST
To Whom It May Concern – This is merely a sampling of authors, works, and genres that spark something in me…more to come, as always. One of the many reasons why I love directing is the discovery of the new, and the re-discovery of the forgotten. I treat classics like new plays, and new work with the depth and text analysis of classic plays.
Some favorite authors whose works I want to explore more: Lucas Hnath, David Ives, Bess Wohl, Stephen Karam, Rajiv Joseph, Brandon Jacobs-Jenkins, Laura Eason, Nina Raine, Quiara Alegría Hudes, Ayad Akhtar, Carey Crim, Phaedra Michelle Scott, J.T Rogers, George Brandt, Dominic Finocchiaro, Lauren Gunderson, George Bernard Shaw, Tennessee Williams, Hannah Cowley, Aphra Behn, Harold Pinter, William Shakespeare, Lynn Nottage, Bertolt Brecht, Annie Baker, Anton Chekhov...
